MONDAY, MAY 4

Today, we’ll explore many facets of state government, discuss its traditions, and meet some of the dedicated public servants who make this institution a valuable, beneficial and enduring aspect of life in Washington State. We will consider ways these examples help illustrate the importance of good governance and responsible civic duty here at home, across the nation and throughout the civilized world.

  • Guided tour of Washington Capitol Building
  • Temple of Justice: Mock Trial
  • Supreme Court Law Library
  • Senate/House Chambers: Introduction

  • “Scavenger Hunt” on Capitol Campus
  • Introduction to Page Program
  • Depart for Yakima
  • Stretch & bathroom break at Snoqualmie Pass
  • Walking Tour of Central Washington University Campus

Day Two: Washington’s Agricultural Industry and Migrant Culture

  • Paddle Boats or Kayaks at Sun Lake
